Pattern:
Jeweled Hat and Jeweled Scarf are both available on Ravelry! These are listed as two different patterns on Ravelry, to make them easier to find under “Hat” and “Scarf”, respectively. I designed them as my own cozy winter wear! Both projects use the same yarn and the same decorative jewel stitch, an adaptation of the classic filet stitch.
You will Need:
Yarn: 4 skeins Worsted Weight Yarn (100g/210yds each). 1 skein for the Hat and 3 skeins for the scarf. (I used Malabrigo Rios in Archangel. I bought three skeins of it ages ago, planning to make myself something special. I ended up needing one more skein, which gave me Dye Lot Problems)
Tools: Crochet Hook G-6/4.0mm or size needed to obtain gauge. I used my Clover Armour G-6/4.0mm (As with all garments, gauge is very important for the hat pattern! For the scarf, you don’t need to worry as much.) Basic Yarn Sewing Kit: scissors, soft tape measure, removable stitch markers (or safety pins), and yarn needle
Gauge: 5 stitches x 5 rows = 1″ x 1″
Finished Size: Scarf 6″ x 54″ (double thick, before finishing). Hat- adult sizes Small, Medium, Large, and Extra Large.
(I made the Extra Large hat and one skein was just perfect. If you make a smaller size, you will have a bit of extra yarn you can use to add more fringe to the scarf or make it longer!)
